Merlin Taylor is the owner of MST Construction Consulting, LC DBA "CLASS" - Comprehensive Litigation (A+) Support Services. CLASS offers Premier Litigation Support, Construction Defect Resolution, Xactimate Estimating, Insurance Claims, & Construction Consulting. Merlin has over 40 years experience in residential / commercial construction and remodeling, including 17+ years as a construction defects expert witness, insurance appraiser, and umpire. His extensive construction background in partnership with estimating, mediation, arbitration, and litigation experience gives him an unprecedented view of each case.
Humanitarian Work
Merlin is a professional Santa Claus. He devotes much of his time during the holiday season to charity events and humanitarian groups relating to homelessness and The Road Home, a Salt Lake nonprofit that shelters, houses and provides assistance to homeless men, women and families.
In 2016, Merlin was recognized by The American Red Cross as a community service hero for his work as Santa Claus for The Road Home and his community service efforts, he was named as an 2016 Hero Award recipient. Merlin was honored to receive this recognition. Click photo to watch video.

Our beloved Merlin Taylor peacefully passed away on October 26th, 2023. Merlin touched so many lives and devoted himself to family, business, community, and friends. There will forever be a Merlin-shaped hole in our hearts and lives. We will do our best to honor him by continuing his legacy of love, kindness, words of affirmation, positivity, grace, service, integrity, and professionalism.
